An oilfield services company contacted Wash Bay Solutions needing to upgrade their existing wash bay to meet increased production. They were washing downhole motors and needed to do quite a bit of non-destructive testing (NDT), which meant there would be a lot of surfactants and color in the water.

After visiting their site and talking with the field personnel and engineers onsite, we developed a plan to modify their existing wash bay and upgrade their washing and reclaim equipment. This modification consisted of removing an old concrete floor and replacing it with a new wash bay and installing a closed loop wash water reclaim system and a new electric pressure washing system. All modifications were done within an existing building.

This vertically integrated closed-loop wash water recycle system allows the wash water to be re-used so there is no discharge to the sewer. The system receives water from a solids settling basin, removes substantially all suspended solids, oil and greases, and organically generated odors from the water, and sends the treated water to a storage tank for use with the pressure washer.

In addition to the wash bay construction and equipment installation, we also prepared the permit and coordinated with local officials to make sure our client received a full turn-key project.

The service company was able to double the production of the prior operation, resulting in a pay back period of less than 3 months!
